About Me
There are two versions of how this started.
The short version is that I got obsessed with Kindles. I started digging into every setting, every hidden feature, every small tweak that changed the reading experience, and I couldn't stop. Most of it was buried in plain sight, and nobody was talking about it. So I decided to share what I was finding.
The longer version starts earlier.
Between 16 and 18, I started to convince myself that learning wasn't for me. I preferred to be playing sport or performing, and reading wasn't something I did much of.
University changed that. Books started proving me wrong, and not in the way I expected. This wasn't about learning to pass exams. This was something with greater freedom. When I read the right books properly, I could feel my understanding widening and my views shifting. That period took me from someone who believed learning was not for me to someone who could not imagine stopping.
After university, I worked in sales and management. For many years, I worked in the family business, but when it closed, I had a choice about what to build next. I chose this.
The channel, the newsletter, and this website exist because of one belief: technology should earn its place in your life. Use it to be more creative, more curious, and more human. Cut the rest. The Kindle earned its place for me a long time ago. My job now is to help you get everything it actually offers, and to ask, occasionally, whether the rest of your technology is doing the same.
Across the channel, website and newsletter, you will find Kindle tips and hidden features most users never discover, and e-reader and e-ink reviews built around how a device actually changes your reading life rather than just its spec sheet. Every Sunday, the newsletter takes one idea from that week and sits with it a little longer than a video can.
If you are new here, start on YouTube. That is where I go deepest on the things I care most about.
If any of this sounds like your kind of thing, you are in the right place.
