Can AI Provide Passive Income? Week 9 Insights

I hope you’re all having a strong start to the month!

After a reflective end to Month 2, I’ve stepped into Month 3 with a renewed energy — and a determination to revisit a central part of this journey: AI.

This project began as an experiment to understand how AI could be used to build a passive income stream through a faceless YouTube channel. While content creation has remained the focus, my use of AI tools has quietly drifted into the background.

This week was about changing that.

Re-Engaging with the AI Process

When you’re building something from scratch, it’s easy to slip back into manual habits — especially when you know exactly how you like things done. But that’s not the mission here.

The core question is: how much of this process can AI really support — and how far can it scale?

So this week, I re-examined every step of my content pipeline and asked:

  • Can this be automated?
  • If not, can AI make it faster or easier?

New AI Experiments

Here are the AI tools and ideas I’ve revisited or started trialling this week:

🔹 Script Efficiency: I’ve returned to using ChatGPT for not just scripting, but also for generating alternate hooks and headlines — aiming to test different angles faster than I can think of them manually.

🔹 Thumbnail Concepts with AI Art Tools: I’ve started exploring AI image generators to test out future thumbnail styles. These aren’t being used yet, but the speed of visual ideation is powerful.

🔹 Premiere Pro’s AI Tools: I re-tested Adobe’s built-in AI features, such as clip extension and smart audio ducking, but they still don’t yet fit my workflow. Despite this, I’m encouraged by how rapidly editing software is evolving to build with creators in mind.

Learning to Let AI Do More

One personal realisation this week was that I’m often slowing myself down by being too precious with the process.

The idea of AI doing “most of the work” can feel uncomfortable when you care about quality, but if I want to scale this channel, I need to let go of perfection in some areas and trust the tech where it’s capable.

Looking Ahead

As Month 3 progresses, my focus is:

  • To lean harder into AI where it adds the most value.
  • To test new tools each week and report back on what works (and what doesn’t).
  • And to build in public, sharing the real ups and downs of this process.

If you’re exploring similar projects or tools, I’d love to hear what you’re discovering — feel free to reply and share your own experiments!
